friends?

Is it just me, or do you feel like you can't talk to most of your non-pregnant friends, or friends with no children ?
Well today i spoke to my friend [she's 23] and she was talking on and on about not wanting any kids anytime soon. She says that she doesn't want to share her boyfriend with anyone, not even a baby. Also that she's so happy doing her own thing. Im like ok, good for you, but why are you telling me, a pregnant woman, this? Maybe its just me but i feel like i lost 90% of my friends. =/

I've basically lost all my friends since I got pregnant. Not only can I not talk to them, but they can't seem to make time for me cause I can't drink and party all night like they do, and liek we used to.

I only talk to one of my friends that doesn't have a baby.

Yep thats how it goes. Most of my friends want to hang out though because they like touching my bump and can't wait to play with the baby when it's born. But yeah there are a few party animal friends who want nothing to do with me now that I can't drink and will soon be a momma. Oh well their loss, I don't like drinking to begin with.

I have quite a few friends that aren't pregnant, and don't have children. But I also have a lot that DO have kids. I like a mixture.

Ugh. They never seem to get it. They either want to tell you how to be a mother or how to carry yourself throughout your pregnancy, or they want nothing to do with you. Either way, you feel like you've lost your friend.

I only have 4 really close friends and three of them have no kids and I still talk to them. I think it's all about what kind of friends you have. People who are really your friends stay your friends regardless. My friends love my kids and are always sending them things (two of my friends live out of state). But my friend Lauren who lives hear...we're still as good a friends as before but she never asks me to go out anymore, lol. Probably because she knows I'll probably decline, which I would so....it doesn't bother me.

I know exactly how you feel, I recently just had my baby shower last week, and my "closest friends" the ones that were always out with me before I got pregnant... didn't even show up. I haven't even gotten an "i'm sorry" or anything. I was going to make one the God-mother of my baby girl, but my fiance is not wanting her to be it anymore cuz she hasn't been around, or barely talked to me. It's so depressing... I just hope I wasn't like that with my friends that had kids before me.

But hey good thing those ake friends are out of our lives !

two of my friends have kids , and two of them dont . my friends who dont are really excited for me having a baby , i dont go out much anyway so it dont bother me at all.

uh yea. that was a real asshole thing for her to do, out of all ppl why the hell would she be saying that to you?/ thats effin stupid!! its been pretty good with my friends,for the most part,but theres deff something more when the person knows exactly what your going through!!!

I KNOW HOW U FEEL CAUSE I WENT THROUGH THE SAME THING WHEN I WAS PREGNANT WITH MY DAUGHTER. I HAD JUS TURNED 18...AND I TELL U..BEFORE HER I WAS A PARTY ANIMAL !!! AT A YOUNG AGE...AND I JUS LOST TOUCH OF EVERYONE BECAUSE I COULDNT DO THE SAME THINGS I USED TO...BUT THAT JUS SHOWS U WHO IS REAL AND WHO IS NOT AND U DONT NEEED TO "RUN" BACK TO THEM ONCE THE BABY IS POPPED OUT. I GOT NEW FRIENDS WIT KIDS WHO WERE IN THE SAME BOAT AS ME AFTER I HAD MY BABY. ITS A DIFFERENT LIFESTYLE BUT ITS ALL WORTH IT CAUSE U'LL HAVE UR BABY.
