me stressing out...

I am 26 almost 27 weeks pregnant and I'm 16 years old. A girl that I know was only a month further along then I am and just had her baby girl 8 weeks early. When I asked her why Jayden was so early she says that it was because young parents usually have premature babies. So recently I have been doing my research on the statistics of my baby surviving if something was to happen. My mom has advised me to not stress out as much on the subject but its just all too scary to imagine a baby that is 2 months premature and only 3 pounds. Lately I have been in a frantic on getting every last detail that way I will be ready just in case.

I am also going to California to see my boyfriend graduate from the Marine Corps then going to Tennessee for a couple of weeks. So I've been buggin about that.

I don't know I was just wondering if there is someone else that has or is going to threw this.

I always heard/ read that first pregnancy ur baby usually comes a lil late.

stress is never a good thing, and especially while preggo. try to bring it down a bit because you need to be able to take care of you before you can take on a little baby

Best thing to do is try to stop stressing and relax. Try meditation, calm mommy = calm baby. You're more likely to go into early labour from stressing out than from being a teen mom. Whatever is going to happen is going to happen. There isn't much you can do to keep from going into labour early except eat right, and don't stress too much over things you can't control.

I'm 35 weeks and 6 days. My mom had me at 35weeks. A 2 months ago I started geting really worried and did tons of research on premies. Now that I've pretty much passed 35 wks I'm not as worried.

As much as you've seen it on here that girls go over due it is actually more likely that teens will have their babies premature. The reason? Most teens have poor diets, take longer to get prenatal care & don't take care of themselves. They are also more at risk for high blood pressure.

OP- If you take care of yourself by eating right & taking your vitamins as well as not stressing or over doing it then you will be fine.

I've heard/read that young girls especially in their teens can have babies with lower birth weights or they can come early. Mainly due to how your body has matured and just how you treat your body over all during a pregnancy with diet, exercise, drinking, smoking, etc. I was a teen mom and gave birth on my due date to a 9lbs baby. I had a "perfect" normal pregnancy. I ate well, didn't do any drugs, drink, or smoke. Just treat your body well and talk to your doctor about any concerns you may have.
