I got stung by a yellow jacket =(

Ok ladies, I know its not a big deal and nothing to call the doctor over, but I was just wondering IF i have anything to worry about?

I'm not allergic either.

Oh you poor thing, did it hurt? im not sure if you should worry, i think your okay as long as your not allergic.

id say... get some hairspray and spray the mutha effer!!!! i hate bees and all sorts of them..... lately ive seen this 2 inch long fat bumble bee looking wasp that is orange and black!!!! im too afrid of it lol

It didn't hurt at first, but hours later it got worse. Today it doesn't sting anymore but I have this red bump and a huge red splotch around it, and the red splotch is very sore and warm. Its like the poison is sitting under my skin or something. My sis goes to the doc today for her 18 week ultrasound, I'll have her ask for me, lol.

they think it might look very similar to a european hornet or part of the hornet family.....

when i was little and i used to try to catch bees to keep them... i would always get stung and my dad used that for me!

ok im a dumbass and dont know how to quote people but regarding 17mommy2b comment about hating bees.....me too!! after i got stung i got in my car and the whole way home all i kept talking about was how i was goin to kill every bee i saw from here on out!!

We used to do that on our lunch breaks at school. Actually, we would catch them to take the stingers out! Luckily, I never got stung... I stepped on a bee once, swelled my foot up pretty bad, but that was the only time. I didn't learn about the mustard thing until about 8 years ago when I was working with a girl who worked in the strawberry fields and she was stung. She's the one who told me about it...
