Postpartum Depression or Not??

posted 22nd Aug
I've been trying to decide whether these feelings are PPD or not? I know the stage for baby blues is over (baby is almost 3 months), but, lately i've been crying for the silliest reasons. I don't cry often, but when I do I cry long and hard, and usually it's for no good reason. I've been gettin frustrated with the kids, i've also noticed that i haven't maintained my house as I should.

The main issue im having is that my medicaid is done, and I have no means and am not financially ready enough to see a doctor etc ... Can anyone help me with suggestions for different ways to get over this without it getting worse?

You arenot free and clear of Post pardom.. It can last up to 6 months. I would try to change my diet if i were you. More healthy foods. Also find time for yourself, Take a bath, read a magazine and basically get away from it all in your mind if you can't actually get away from it all.
Sometimes even now I need to just have my own space. away from being mommy. You'll be okay!

I don't have a job yet, i haven't thought about working yet because of the babys so new, but that may be just what I need, something to just get me out the house. I've tried play groups, but I don't really do well with those. I had PPD after my first daughter and it got really bad! I was on Zoloft and was hospitalized. I just don't want it t go there. I feel like i'm handling it alot better this time. But on another note I know its a chemical imbalance so its hard to handle alone. My hubby works all the time and he isn't really "there" for me, ya know. He's so busy and worried about keeping us supported, which I can't be mad at at all, cause someones gotta do it. So it's just a weird situation.

PPD is the worst cause it also kinda makes you feel guilty because you should be happy since you just had a baby. GRrr!

I wasn't completly happy when my son was born.. it was like 50/50.. have a friend come over.. or go see your parents or a friend.. YOU need to get out of the house and be with other adults. give the littliest to grandmom for the day or something.. get creative.... Oh Oh Oh!! Exercise! That always make me feel better.. You should get one of those balls from walmart.. the exercise ball that is only 10 dollars and act like a kid.. I have one and its fun. YOU NEED FUN!

i hear ya.. just realize its your body not your heart feeling that way .. its just chemicals on the inside making you feel a false way. stay strong and close to your husband so this does not eat away at your marriage.. good luck to you!
