i hate the deppo shot

i had 1 shot that lasted three mos then i decided to just do the condom thing.heres the thing i havent stoped bleeding i want to say for 5 mos but the other day it was really dark and thick sorry if too info im just worried i dont know what it is.. help!!

That's so weird. I've heard of people having their periods like the whole time, but I was the exact opposite. I didn't have my period for the whole three months, plus another two after I got off the shot!

I never had my period but I was constantly eating.. I gained tons of weight on it!

Yeah, the same thing happend with me. I had a period for 9 months straight though. The first 3 months is breakthrough bleeding and if you don't get the shot again after the 3 months you will continue to bleed for Idk how long. The DR told me if I woulda got the shot the 2nd time when I was suppose to the bleeding would of stopped. He gave me birth control pills to help regulate it. Ask your DR.

I had my period the whole time I was on it. It was horrible I had a totally of 3 shots which made me bleed for a year non-stop. I had to buy2 packs of pads every week   I will never use it again  

My girlfriend has been on it for four years and never bled once!!! Lucky Bitch  

I was on depo for 3 years and didnt bleed, id get the occaisional spotting every once in a while but thats it. I've heard of alot of women having problems, constant bleeding, or a period every 2 weeks...

I personally loved the depo shot, and plan to go back on it after i have my son...
If you hate the bleeding, try going on that seasonal birth control pill that is suppose to only give you your period one every season...

I've also heard of some women only having problems with the depo after they have stopped taking it....constant bleeding, and massive cramps...

Every woman is different, different methods work for different people. I'd go off the depo asap....i know i wouldn't want to bleed that long.

I had it for a year bled the entire time put on 100 lbs, and never took it off. My eating habits havent changed at all infact I became more active and still have the weight, someone told me they read a report that the weight sticks around 24- 46 months after you stop taking it.
