serious help

Okay ever since my son was a newborn he has slept through the night no problem and now its oposite, he is 6 1/2 months old and he wakes up twice once to eat and the second time he wont, and he will just cry and cry like i have heard newborns do, i dont know what to do anymore.....ive even started him sleeping with me when he starts to cry and i know thats bad to do but its not like it matters because it doesnt help anyways.and nothings out of the ordinary besides that.
i was just wondering if this is normal?
if anyone else has one through this and has some advice??

i was reading a baby magazine today that said that alot of babiesaround 4-6 monthswill cry unconsolably for hours. i dont really know how to help you with making him stop but i figured i would let you know that its normal
