Maternity pic & my mother

Today I decided to take maternity pictures before the baby arrives and had different poses etc. Well it took a whole day for the studio to load the pictures on their web site but I already made my choices on which one I'll be ordering. As I was looking at the pictures I noticed there are some other ones that I like too that I didn't see when I was looking at them at the studio. I showed them to my mom and she thought I was crazy for letting them take shots of my naked belly! I happened to order them too! I don't know if I made the right decision on picking the right pictures and I thought the two poses that I got were so adorable. Why do parents always make stupid comments?

moms are silly...thankfully mine thought it was a good idea when i got mine done, she just said she wouldnt post it on her desk at work--lol!

its probably another one of those "just let it go in one ear and out the other" type things...like advice from little old ladies and whatnot...lol

it didnt work..i cant see anything. ugh sometimes parents make me so mad.. like yesterday my husband and i were talking to his mom about us wanting to adopt a baby and she told me we were crazy and she wouldnt love it like she loved her blood grandkids.. i wanted to cry..

on the flipside of this, when I was 2 weeks away from my due date I was at the YMCA in my two piece, swimming. When I went back to the locker room, an older lady (maybe 60?) came up to me and said "i really commend you for being brave enough to be seen in public wearing that! it was highly frowned upon back when i was pregnant. You look great!"

people definitely have different opinions on whats "right and wrong" i guess youd call it...lol

omg thats so mean!   why would someone say something like that?! even if it were true...thats rude! *shakes head*

My mom always makes the comment when I get my sons pictures done that she wants the orginal or if she sees a picture on my computer its o how come I dont have that one ect but she never hangs them up... The ones hanging I hung and if i go to my dads they are hung up everywhere... or its how come you didn't get that one instead ect blah!! Im the mom and Ill pick which one I like

I hear you..my mom wasn't so happy at first when I told her I was pregnant. Then again, I'm like 26, have a career etc but she was judging me like I was going to turn out to be a bad parent like my older sister! grr

those are adorable! i love them! my mom thought i was crazy too, because i took bare belly pictures like every week while i was pregnant. and i did a belly cast. haha. i think its a generational thing, though. Im glad that now pregnant women can be proud of their bodies.
