Been over 48 hours since shots...

and my baby still isn't back to her normal self.

She has been so grumpy and fussy since she had her shots on Tuesday. She slept pretty much all Tuesday evening, and of course since she slept all evening she was up all night screaming, I'm assuming from her little legs being so achy and her being feverish. I gave her tylenol every 4 hours to help with fever and pain but it didn't do much for her. Last night was better, but she was still up every couple hours. She usually sleeps through the night.

Tonight she went right to sleep, but she has still been very fussy. She's also been fussing through her feedings, and still won't take but half of her bottle. She usually eats 6 oz at bedtime, but has only taken 4.When should I expect her to beback to her old self? I miss my good little girl.

our baby took about 3-4 days - we put little ice packs on her legs and it helped a lot. if you dont have the little infant ice packs just crush ice and put in a baggie and wrap in a couple papertowels.

Kennedy had a really hard time with her 2 month shots (the 4 month ones went absolutely fine tho) - but it was nearly a couple WEEKS before she started acting like herself again when she got the 2 month shots.

I hope it's not that long for your little one!

A LOT of crying, couldn't stay asleep for more than a few minutes at a time, didn't want to eat very much, and she was really jumpy - everything startled her really bad. It was weird and scary... No fever tho.

you dont have to get them vaccinated
if they are having bad reactions, trust your instincts

those are NOT bad reactions- they are the reactions that you must expect to vaccinations- they give you a paper and talk to you about them.

umm.. I am not not getting my daughter vaccinated, I don't want to take that risk of her getting something!  I know some parents choose not to vaccinate their children but I am not one of those!

Anyway.... I think she is finally back to herself. Shewent back to sleeping through the night again, at least last night she did. She fussed for all about 10 seconds then I heard her get real quiet, and didn't hear a peep out of her until 4 when she woke up wanting a bottle. I fed her and she went right back to sleep until 7. She was smiley this morning, so I'm hoping she's doing ok with my sister (who has her on Fridays.)

Avery's was about a week to a week and a half. You might try waking up during the night and giving the tylenol every 4 or 5 hours while she's asleep. I did that and it worked better than her waking up and then trying to get her back to sleep. Also try, if you do that, to move her legs and maybe he wont be as sore.
