Would you buy this?

posted 21st Aug
I was shopping online and came across this and want to buy it but I wanted some others opinions before I went ahead and bought it. I am all about sanitazion, I use a steam moop on my kitchen and use clorox everywhere else I can in my house. Here is the link:

I personally don't see the point, unless you are running a daycare or taking care of others children..

hmm i dont think i would pay 50 dollars for that thing, it seems like a good idea, but i thought it was kinda funny when it says that it helps eliminate the germs that cause ear aches...anytime alex ever had an ear ache it was from an ear infection, and thats not contatgous (SP) lol so i thought that part was kind of comical, but i say hey you want it go for it, clean is good for sure

I'd personally buy anything from One Step Ahead....I love that site! They have such neat stuff.

I'd buy the toy sanitizer. I currently just throw her toys in a bucket of hot vinegar water about once a week. They get so yucky.

I was thinking of just using clorok and water and soaking the toys but I do like the idea of sanitizing with steam. I want to shop around and see if I can get it cheaper.

i personally dont think its a good idea to keep everything sanitized and germ free-clean yes, absoultely, but antibactierial and germ free and sanitized 24/7, no way. achild needs to have some exposureto germs otherwise their immune system will never grow and they will actually catch more bugs then normal. but thats just my opinion.

I agree, kids need to be exposed to thing, they are exposed to us and the people who come over and we are all walking germs, if they are playing with toys that they are the only ones who play with them, and they arent sick or anything, i dont think the constant need to sanatize is that great, especially if you have other kids too, then the santaizing would NEVER end, a toddler and being ultra clean just doesnt happen

What I worry about is that my fiance isnt the best at cleaning things around the house, so I dont trust him with baby stuff (like the bottles and pacifiers we have now). He is very slack about it, this is the man that leaves raw beef blood in our fridge and just puts other food over it. So I worry about sanitizing things LOL.

yuck! i dont blame you! i would be too, thats just yucky, he better learn quick that he can't be so messy with a baby in the house. If you want to get one than go for it, but you will clean the toys well with hot soapy water and if you are really worried add a drop of bleach and make sure you rinse everything really really well, or they make the sterilizers for the baby bottles and stuff too, and target carries these microwave sterilizing bags that you pop into the microwave, i think you can use them for toys and binkies and stuff too, its something to look into anyway!

Thanks, I yell at him all the time about that. I try to head the situation off before it happens. It works most of the time unless I am stuck in bed because I was not feeling good. We will see, if I get it I will let you ladies know how it works.

do you guys have a dishwasher? lots of baby stuff is dishwasher safe if its on the top rack, and they make those dishwasher baskets to put stuff in so that it doesnt get ruined in the dishwasher, and most dishwashers have that sanitize button on them i think the one my mom has does and so does my sisters and she put all her sons stuff that was dishwasher safe in it so that could be a possibilty too, tell him to stop being such a slob for goodness sake, lol
