Not in the 80's. And My mom had private insurance at the time - It's not like she was on medicaid or getting food stamps or anything...


I'm sure they do it routinely for us broke preggos - but they can go right ahead... they can search my house and monitor me all they want... I'm not a bad person.. Just broke and pregnant! I can't wait til he comes so I can go back to work - I miss work!!!!

But honestly there are some low-life types in the world that have baby after baby so they can get more welfare money to pay for their drugs.. It makes me sick.

And, in all actuality....they may routinely be testing EVERY newborn - even "high class" people can have drug problems.... ;)

So, If a mom smokes or does any drugs while shes prego it will actually show up in the baby sytem?!? Ive neva heard of this in Florida

Well it's about like with alcohol or cigarettes. Anything you ingest the baby does too. I don't know if they do it nothing was ever brought to my attention about drug testing. And I wouldn't care if they had because I don't do drugs and never have. But take in consideration what drugs can do to a person over a long period of time and then multiply that by like ten and its hard to even imagine what it does to the unborn child.

I didn't see where anyone said you were doing drugs. But ANYTHING you take in goes to the baby whether its weed, alcohol or caffeine. Medicines, toxins in foods (hence why you can't eat too much of certain sea foods). Put two and two together, you should get four.

Going with that, I can see wondering why it would be in the babies system, say, if a mom did drugs when she was... 3 months pregnant.
Would it be in the babies system, at birth?

Seriously, if anyone thinks I'm asking (I don't know why you would though..lol) because I want to do drugs in my next pregnancy, then "get ova it."

And Snickers420 first of all, people may think a little bit that you'd ask because you did drugs because your name involves '420'.... Also, you should throw a different slang word / phrase in your vocabulary every once and a while. People won't get bored from hearing the same thing over and ever --er, ova and ova. You may learn a new word or two also, if you try!
And ONE more thing... I read your profile (Because I was looking to see if perhaps 4/20 was a date involved in your pregnancy..) and you have a little quiz on there.... It says "Who will be in the delivery room with you?" and you answered "Boyfriend, my mom and his mom, & prolly best friend"....I was just wondering, if you planned on leaving any room for the doctors and nurses?
