Parents w/ kids in kindergarten.

So my son started school this week. I just wanted to know is there anything you ladies did to be more invloved with the school an other parents an children? I fell like I want to be invloved I just don't know how. (We're actuly going to open house tonight)

When Kate was in kindergarten, I signed up to help w/partys & chaperone field trips, you can also join the PTO. My baby starts 1st grade this year  

My daughters school has a list for parent to sign up to volunteer to help during the day. Maybe talk to his teacher and see what they have avaliable

my son just started kindergarten on monday.
I signed up to come help for about a half hour a week with games on the computer, or coloring and writing, just really basic things like that.
And also, I signed up to help out with their room parties, like christmas and easter, things like that, as well as field trips.
Don't know how well my boss will like all the time off work... but I don't really care too much either.

My son is in first grade in 2 weeks but last year in kindergarten I was the head room mother. I am a SAHM and do every holiday and event at my sons school. This year I will do it to and be toting around an infant LOL  

My son's teachers are always sending home forms asking for volunteers for both the office and the classroom(to read to the class, make copies, etc..).. Maybe you could offer to volunteer..

Ya, I just got back from open house an she talked all about volunteering. She'll be sending papers home to sign up for PTA,PTO. An I did sign up to help with parties. An I told her if she needs any help what so ever to just give me a call or send a note home with xavier.

Well she told me she could use my help tomorrow. So yay! I'll be helping her all day in the class room. I hope xavier understands that he still has to listen to the teacher an not cry to me. But i'm shure he'll get the hang of it. I'm excited for tomorrow.
