How do I thank them??

posted 21st Aug
Ok so most of my family has been totally unsupportiveabout my pregnancy and everything, which is understandable because of my age. but whatever. So I had no baby shower or anything like that. But then today when I went out to get the mail there was this big box of stuff from my boyfriend and his family in north carolina. I opened it and there was this note in there from his Grandma that said they would have thrown me a baby shower but since i'm so far away they put together this box of stuff for me and my baby girl. My family would have never done something like that... I mean my mom and dad arn't even talking to me. And no one has ever done anything like this for me. I'm just so happy that they are actually thinking about us and care about my baby girl. But how do I thank them? I haven talked to any of them except for my boyfriend for 7 months... And I have never had anything nice like this done for me... saying thank you just doesn't seem like enough...

Wow, that is awesome that you have some support. I am sorry your family does not feel the same way. I would definitly call them, and tell them what it means to you. That is more than just sayng thank you. And maybe when the baby is born, send them a ncie picture or something. I am not sure, just really try to include them since your family is being stupid.

Maybe the hormones, but I literally almost started crying when I read this. That's amazing. I'm sorry your parents/family aren't being as supportive as they should be. And, I agree with the naming part. What a sweet woman.

I know it was so nice of them. I'm still like crying. It was like his whole family that did it tho... So that would be a lot of names. lol. His grandma is just the one that wrote the note. She's gonna have the same last name as all of them though.

Why do i have to wait until after I have her?
well if that's what your asking, it's because i'm on state insurance, and I wouldn't be able to get everything switched over. It really sucks. And I dont have enought money saved up to move all the way back across the country yet.

I think you should buy a card and write a really nice letter about how much you appreciate not only the gifts but their support. You should do it now, so it doesnt seem like you're not gonna thank them. Include pics of growing belly.
