A Beautiful Day Robbed Away!

posted 21st Aug
Sadly my mother had to attend her cousins funeral today, as did most of my uncles and thier wives, so I was left without any baby sitter options. My dad had to go to a business meeting @ 10 and would be home after to take my son soI could go finish off the work day and not lose too many hours. We had a blast we had breakfast together, scrabbled eggs and toast with a cup of milk, watched about an hour and a half of Noggin programs, Wonder Pets, NiHoa Kilan andDiego.

He went to my Mom's little beach basket, because we stayed at gamma and dampa's house instead of going home.and pulled out his full body suit with a built in life vest and came to me and said, "Eh eh eh."So I grabbed my suit I had left there and got him in his and we went swimming for an HOUR becuaseI couldn't get him out he was having too much fun, mommy at 30 weeks was dying, LoL!Then we went back in the house and I gave him a snack, Juice and cereal puffs, then laid him down for a nap because he looked tired to me and was more then willing to be wrapped up in a blanket and lay down in his playpento watch some more Noggin.

After about an hour or so Mommy sort of dozed off for about 15 min. and was so rudely woken up by dampa. My mom called shortly afterI woke up, mind you I was still in my swim suit incase he wanted to go swimming again and asked ifI was at work yet, my Dad replied, "I'm kicking her out now!" -.- LikeI was not going to get up and go to work. Even thoughI didn't want toI got dressed and headed to the office and clocked in at 1:14 only to stay here until 4:00. I would much rather be with my son playing out the rest of my relaxing day, I already miss him and think it was cruel to make me come to work for a whoppin' 3 hrs. 30 mins. what a waste of gas and timeI could have spent with my son.

I understand that you want to spend time with your son, every working mom would love to stay home, but didn't you just say that you needed all the hours you could get at work? Although 3 1/2 hours isn't alot is will be better on your check than not having them at all.

Well I need the hours, but in the morning I would have thought my dad to be back some where around 11 not a quarter to 1. HadI known he would have been so lateI would have just taken the day off. I was more implying that my original plan was to go to work after my dad got home, but towards the end of the day it seemed more unlikely thatI would. You know?
