Hmm well I think Im having a home birth and my 10yo really wants to be there for it!! My 6yo does too but I dont know. What would you do??

I think that if everything goes smooth ...its ok..

if there your family why not.. it would be a wonderful experience to teach them not to have kids to early how hard it is to take care of a baby..

you will probably never be a grandma if they are girls..

no but seriously if they do want to watch let them.. it will always be a topic of discussion and a great memory

It could be scary for them, especially the 6 year old. Seeing all the blood, not to mention any screaming or noises you will make from the pain.

Hmmm..I don't know. I would be afraid something would go wrong and freak my kids out. But I don't know anything about your kids...so I don't know. I would always be worried that they wouldn't understand why mommey was in so much pain...?

Yes they are both girls!! My 8yo son would like to be there too but my hubby thinks that is inappropriate!!

Yea I know. I talked to my midwife and she said we could explain that somethings that could happen like mommy screaming and etc..

I don't think it's inappropiate to have your son in with you, you're his mother there's nothing wrong with that. I think you should let them be in. My 12 yr old niece wants to be in with me when i have my baby but i don't know if she'll be allowed to be in there.

Yea. My midwife was even thinking about letting one of them cut the cord!
