Home Birth Mommies

Any mommies who are pregnant now planning on having a home birth? Just curious to see how many of you are. If all goes well, I plan on having my baby girl at home.  

I know Im having a water birth. I dont know about home birth yet!!

The first thing I did was talk to my midwife!!

I have a Dr. but there is a midwife in his office i dont think she does deliverys

Look for a midwife in your area (CNM or CPM) who does homebirths, then call her. Most midwives will give a free consult. I was supposed to have my consult today but mthe midwife had an issue with another mommy. I def want to go with her too. Check out websites!

I have medicaid do you think they would pay for this???

Oh, and it's not covered by insurance unfortunately (most insurances anyway)

I am just now seeing a midwife because of insurance problems a few weeks ago. I've been left without prenatal care for 5 weeks.

I know medicaid covers home birth in VT... not sure about other states. Try calling and asking?
