Someone once told me never tell the person how many inches you want cut. You have to SHOW THEM. So now I show them. I can't pull of a bob haircut. Can I see a pic? Maybe it's not so bad?

Lets see a pic. Everyone is always harder on themselves. It probably looks cute, even though your not use to your hair being that short.

extensions? Go back to the crappy ass salon that butchered you and make them give you extensions for free?

Its only hair, at least it will grow back. 3 inches should grow back in a few months, im sure it looks better than you think!

I'm sure it doesn't look bad on you, there's just that shock factor for not ever having short hair.

Not that that excuses what she did. She should have offered free extensions or something.

Do you just think it looks crappy because it is so short, or is it like, all butchered and uneven? I know some salons will do a free "do over", whatever they have to do to make it look better, hoping to get you back as a customer. You might call around?

i had that same thing happen to me!!!  

i was one day away from starting my junior year in a new school and i asked for 2-3 inches off....i walked out of the salon with 1 inch long hair! i looked (as other people told me) like a dyke! i was PIIIIISSSSEEEEDDDD. And to top it all off, it took me THREE years to get my hair back past my shoulders! even today it takes forever to grow and is only 3 inches past my shoulders!!!

as for advice, i can only suggest a wig or extensions, although i just suffered through mine...man, at that school i was forever known as a dyke. it sucked big time. at least youre not in school now!

i know how frustrating it is to get a cut you dont like
but she may be new and not as experienced
you should never rely on JUST picture or JUST telling them how much you want off
you should be able to brng in a picture and explain how you want that cut to look on you
but im sure its really not as bad as you think.

Post picture!! You're upset now, maybe you just need to get used to the look! I'm pretty sure you look great! The same thing happens to me when I cut my hair, they always cut way more than i ask them too!! I hate that!

hahaha i brought a picture to the last salon i went to, explained EXACTLY what I wanted, and they STILL messed it up! ive never had bangs, so i thought id try some long bangs....i ended up with uneven 2-1/2 inch bangs....and they tried to charge me $40 for it! hahaha i laughed and gave them $20 with no tip. From now on I will be cutting my own hair.

that happened to me too! but mine was last month. i saw a friend and she was like wow nice lesbian hair cut. ha......thanks jerk
