New Generation of Soothee

posted 21st Aug
My sister last night told me about these and immediately went and bought them for my next baby and bought a few for a friend of mine who's due any day now. They are called the Gumdrop Pacifier. They were invented by the same guy who invented the soothee pacifier. They are smaller, shaped like their face and less likely to make your baby gag. They have a slot for pacifier holders so you don't lose them and they come in 3 colors pink, blue,or orange. They come in regular scented or Vanilla scented which apparently makes them more likely to take them with the scent. They come in preemie sizes and regular newborn sizes. The benefits of the soothee to others is it helps prevent breastfeeding problems, they make the baby's lips flange out like when they are breastfeeding. The hospitals carry the soothee brand ones which are often too big for baby's small mouths so these are ideal and hospital recommended.

To purchase them the best site is www.hawaiimedical.com and click on the Gumdrop Pacifier and then click shop for the product. They lower the price when you buy 7 or more which is why I bought a few for a friend to save a bit. It's about 7 for 10.50 and then 4.50 shipping.

They have those at the hospitals here. Megan came home with a couple and those are the only ones she'd take. She didn't take to the vanilla scented ones as well though...not sure why. They have a larger newborn size too, and Megan can still take that one at 14 months old.

Ooh yay I'm glad they have them at the hospital now, well I bought a few just in case they dont' have them here. They were cheap so I felt like its better to be safe then sorry.

I am not sure, they come really fast though from what my sister said, she said that when she ordered hers it was a Friday and she got them by Tuesday. They pack them in an envelope and then they are all individually sanitized because they are sold to hospitals mostly. I am thinking they aren't available in stores yet just to hospitals and on their website.

Hey check this out, I didn't see this til I went to their actual site. When you click to buy the gumdrop it sends you to hawaiimedical. But they have an offer where if you have soothee binkies you can trade them for free for a gumdrop pacifier! I wish I still had mine so I could trade one in. What a deal! Only good for one but still free trade in is nice.
