Maternity Clothes?

posted 21st Aug
Seriously.... how soon is too soon to start wearing them? I'll be 10 weeks tomorrow. My mother already bought me some of the cutest stuff, and I'm really looking forward to wearing it. Alot of my normal clothes still fit. But, while I haven't gained any weight yet, my pants are getting harder and harder to button and zip everday... Thank you NY&Co for making such comfy knit pants that I can still wear at work btw....

Id try to wait a little longer if you can because by the time you end up in the 3rd trimester you'll be HATING all the stuff you have hahaha trussssssssst me.

I was 15 weeks when I started wearing maternity jeans. And by 20 weeksI was in maternity shirts mostly because my boobs got sooo big so fast.

I miss my old clothes, I can't really fit into anything that I wore before pregnancy, I would hold on to your others and keep wearing them until you can't anymore!

at about 20 i started wearing maternity pants ONLY because i hated the feeling of something tight on my belly; even though my jeans still fit. and only recently had to start wearing maternity shirts too. and im 29 weeks..if you do go out and buy clothes now..get them as big as you can that still fit you..you will grow more than your mind can imagine! haha

My advice is put it off as long as possible ... they're cute now but unless you can afford a whole entire new wardrobe with tons of variety, you'll probably hate them in 30 weeks of wearing the same 4 or 5 things.

I started wearing mine at about 5 months when my regular clothes didn't fit at all anymore. And by the time this baby came, I wanted to wear something different

But if your regular pants are uncomfortable, there's no such thing as too soon. I totally martyred myself trying to avoid buying maternity jeans, doing the whole rubber band thing, finally when I broke down and got some at 20 weeks it was the best decision ever.

BTW, I'm 8 weeks PP and I'm still wearing my maternity jeans and a couple of the tops that don't look like maternity clothes, because even though I lost all my baby weight, my body changed so much I don't fit into my pre-pregnancy jeans!

I started wear borderline maternity clothes the day I found out!   I figure, if you are going to get a whole new wardrobe, one only wear it for about 5 months, right?

I started wearing mine really early too but that's cuz I got really bloated right away and nothing would fit. I say go for it if you want to start wearing them. You may get sick of them after a while though. I'm already so sick of maternity clothes and I wear shirts that aren't and just stretch them out.

I started wearing the maternity pants early on, like, maybe 15 weeks. The shirts I didn't have to til about 22 weeks or so. But wear whatever you want.

I cant imagine getting into my prepregnancy jeans right now! I know I'll be in maternity jeans for like at least a month if not 2 after I have my baby. My booty got hugeeeeee lol

I AM SICK of my maternity clothes ~ i'm 32 weeks. None of the t-shirts I own fit over my belly so all I can wear now is maternity tops and maternity jeans.

I've never been so miserable ever. I know it's tempting and I know I wanted to wear them ASAP but after you have to wear them every single day and can't fit into anything else then things start to get depressing

Even after my baby was born I still wore a lot of the maternity clothes (even when I could fit into some of my old things!) I adore the maternity cltohes!

I didnt start wearing strictly maternity clothes until about 3-4 weeks ago... Hold off as long as you possibly can, I find them to be embarrassing, esp when people want to see your belly, and you lift up your shirt and have hideous stretch panel pants on!
