Mothers who breastfed or are breastfeeding

posted 21st Aug
Hey ladies! I just gave birth to mysecond little man last Friday, the 15th. I didn't breastfeed with Jordan. I just gave up without really trying. This time around we are breastfeeding, and it is going really well.
I just had a question for you all.
You know how you have to wear the pads from the leaking..Did you need to use them the entire time you breastfed? Or does the leaking kind of go away after a while? I was just wondering because I'm getting married on October 4th, and I'm trying to see if I'll need to wear breast pads at the wedding.

Thanks so much!

Depends. I stopped wearing them after my son was like 6 weeks or so. I don't really leak at all unless my breast are super engorged.

I had to wear them the entire time..... but my milk supply was enough to feed triplets!! lol so it may not be the same for you?? maybe if you nurse right b4 you put ur dress on you won't while you are at the cermony? I would rather be safe then sorry though

I still leak..I'm still breastfeeding and bottle feeding too cause my little one eats soooo much.

but yeah..i would still where them even when you don't leak cause sometimes you could have like an accident..just like your period..

With my first, I used them for a few months, and this time, I think I stopped using them a little sooner.
But, I do still leak once in a while... if he hasn't eaten in a while, and my milk lets down... but it's not like the kind of leaking that happens early on.

It depends on each person. I didn't need to wear pads after 5 to 6 months unless I wasengorged.

It wouldn't really bother me to have to wear them I guess. I just want to be prepared..lol..

I joked to my mom that at least with my dress being ivory, if I do leak through maybe it won't be so noticeable..lol

I stoped wearing them at 5 mos. If you have a dress that you can see the pads thru or dont have a way to wear them then get some lilly padz. I used them when I could not wear normal pads and really like them

I got 2 sets on ebay brand new (sealded) for the same price as 1 set brand new on other websites.

I never had to wear them past 2 months. I think once your milk supply is established you should be fine(unless you miss a feeding)
