new labor room

im going to take a tour tomarow with my mom and bf of the new labor delivery ward of the hospital and im excited... i get to pick the room i want to have the baby in i think...... but i will be making up my brithing plan too.... and guess whos our tour guide... my old birthing class instructor lol! me and my bf like her....anyways im going to tell you ladies all about it tomarrow!!! i dont think ill be able to sleep!!!

I don't see how you can pick your own room. What will they kick someone out if it's occupied when you get there?!

good luck! i doubt you get to pick the room. you never know how many ladies are going to be in labor when you are.

I didn't sleep after my tour either - but it's because I had a melt down. My friend just went on her tour and did the same thing.

Everything gets that much more real.

i think they might give me a first choice a second choice and third choice just in case... but i guess its pretty big though!!! i think this is why they have been doing construction on the hospital for like the whole entire summer..... maybe they startes in spring.. but i know that they are supposed to be nice!

my L&d was only a year old and I didn't get a pick. generally #1 you are moved to a PP room across the hall after delivery and #2 there isn't much difference in the rooms except what view of the parking garage you get.

this is definately different though.. we get a jacuzzi in to our own room!!! and a bed for the bf or hubby

I quickly got over it, but that night I was in tears and had all kinds of crazy dreams. LOL My hubby and I are back to bouncing off the walls waiting for this little girl to get here.

I got nervous as soon as they showed how the bed folded down for pushing. And of course when they pointed out the placenta catcher thingy!

best of luck to you!!! im ganna hit the sack though... gotta get up early with my bf and take my mom so she can get epidural in her neck for her slipped disk..... she was s0o0o against epidurals until she started getting them every 2 months..
