Hello guys..Im going to name my son well Gabriel..but i want to change up the spelling and me and my b/f cant agree on these 2 choices...can u help me out please?i wanted a unique spelling of the name...Thanks!!!

I would personally spell it Gabriel.

But if I had to choose one, I'd go with Gabrial. Definitely not the Y.

i dont think my son will grow up to hate me...im sure he will support the individualism :] thanks...and i have a simple name kathy and people spell my name wrong constantly...so i dont think that will be a problem either..

Spelling a name "unique" doesn't change the name. it just makes it hard for the kid but, you name your kid what ever you want. I just don't understand the whole swapping letters for fun trend. if you want a "unique" name just make one up instead of screwing up a perfectly good one,

im not screwing up anything..its the same as naming boys girl names and naming girls boy names...im unique and going to name my kid whatever the hell i want..so thanks for the input  

Um. I'd spell it Gabriel.

How unique is it if everyone on this site is changing letters for y's?

Honestly these days I think its unique in itself, its not that popular. It is a beautiful name. I cant believe people misspell Kathy? Dang. Anyway I though I would share a story with you

The last time I was in the hospital there was a little boy named Gabryel, the nurses were making fun ofthe name behindthe moms back , "like why do peple do this, dont they know its harder for the child"

Its the same name Garbiel, Gabrieal or however you spell it . I personaly think it looks better just Gabriel, it will save him confusion in school. Everytime he says his name for someone to write down he will have to spell it. I def dontlike the y though, if you are going to do a different spelling no matter what, then do the other one not with y. Its the child that makes the name, he will still be your individual and unique little guy!

yeah..well im going to go with gabrial..i like unique spellings and i like it that way...there are way worse names out there and crazy spellings besides the one im going to name my son...i dont have any worries.my b/f and i both like it...i dont really care if everyone if everyone is going with the ys...i dont know a lot of people really doing it so it doesnt bother me lol..

I personally think it's awesome that you wanna be different! If I had topick I would go with Gabrial, I like them both though!I wish ppl on here could just say they like it or they don't. They all have to criticize! Don't hate on ppl's individuality just say yay or nay & give a suggestion. Don't be rude!

My SO found the name spelled like that in my name book and was like look it can be spelled like this lol He wanted Gabriel ((Gabrial) Were going with Levi.
