ok I'll try and make this quick.... after being more than a week overdue i was schedueled for an induction on monday August 11th, they moved my check in time to 5pm. I got there at 5pm and got hooked up and all the papers filled out. When the doctor came in at 6pm he checked me and told me i was 2cm dialated and 90% effaced so i got no cervadil because he told me i was in "labor on my own".. well this wasnt the case at 9am the next morning they realized i was checked wrong and apparantly only 1cm and 50% effaced {big f$#kin difference} so cervadil was then put in, but i was also on a pain reliever and somehow the 2 reacted badly and i began having contractions less than 10 seconds apart harder and harder ... finally after a scene from the exorcist the cervadil was removed and i was given some morphine and woke up a half an hour later in actual labor, i didnt want anything else to help with the pain {since so far the medication they had given me had only caused problems} but the cervadil had in fact started labor thank god. so i got checked and i had actually made progress to 3cm... about 2 hours later i was at 5cm ... the doctor came in and was shocked since the last time he checked me i was barely1cm and hysterical. he checked me and broke my water and told me since i was now handeling the pain so well now i shouldnt get an epidural and walk a little. I told him i wanted an epidural but i would wait and walk. a half an hour later i asked to be checked again because i was scared to wait to long. After the 30 min of walking i wsa checked and 8 and 1/2 cm WITHOUT any epi. I was so proud of myself but since i was scared that she was so big i decided to STOP walking and get my epidural even tho everyone advised me not to {although it did come to help me} so now we've moved into day 3 of labor lol wed morning the epi slowed my labor down but pitocone {sp} was started. After almost 9 hours of pitocone things went downhill in about 5 min. The nurse came in and watched the monitor blocking it from my view. then she asked me to do a practice push since i was 9 1/2 cm .. but as i pushed she told me STOP!!!!! 2 min later she dragged the doctor away from the woman literally pushing in the next room and they decided we were going right then to the OR. EVERYTHING HAPPENED SOO FAST! the epidural saved so much time, the or wasnt even ready they had to set up as they dressed and got me on the table. apparantly her heart rate had dropped dangerously low {they had stuck a heart monitor like a little hook in her head
} i bleed more than was supposed to and was having trouble breathingbut she was ok and so was i and it was the best day of my life.. the 45 hours of labor and scaryness didnt matter at all............ so that was the COMPACT version lmao and here she is Delilah Lilly-Ann at 2:54pm, 9lbs 11oz
