best baby bottles

posted 20th Aug
I am breastfeeding exclusively, but for the occasions I pump, or later when the baby drink juice or whatever I was wondering wich bottle is best?

I used platex drop ins with my son...not interested in that again. I see these Dr. brown bottles, Avent and Medela....so I guess out of those 3 which do you use and like?

price isnt important since I will only need a few of them for certain occasions.

I loved Dr. Brown's when Amory was smaller, now I like Avent because they are easier to wash.

Dr Browns are my favorite by far!! I have heard some people having problems with them leaking but I haven't really had that problem. I did have the avent bottles leak on me quite a bit. My first daughter loved and did well on the plain gerber bottles with the nuk nipple. My second daughter had acid reflux very bad so the Dr Browns were a god sent!

I definitely agree they are a pain in the butt to clean!

not one of your three choices, but I used Nuk. They were great for her gas. I know a lot of people that like avent though....that's a good choice too.

I used avent with both of my kids, and the nice thing about them is you can use the sippy cup tops on the bottles they are all universal, and the are easy to clean unlike dr browns.

I've been using the Dr. Brown's and wouldnt use anything else until the baby is older, like 9 months. My kids had like no gas when they were born, I loved them. And I used the same bottles I used for my son, with my daughter (their 10 months apart) so they lasted for 2 years!!! I still use them right now with my daughter and there the exact ones my son used. They are sooo hard to clean tho, but in my opinion, well worth it!!!

Supposedly there was a recall on the Avent bottles due to the development of the babies. true?

I use Dr. Browns bottles and I refuse to use anything else. They are kinda a hassel to clean but its worth it.

thanks! Medela bottles for breatmilk are BPA free, I am not sure about Avent though. But right now I am looking at those 2.

somone had asked why not the drop ins. I just wanted to try something different this time, but if I was formula feeding I would probably stick with what I know.

you girls are great
