getting gender wrong

posted 20th Aug
just curious if any one on here had their first gender result come up false in another ultra sound? seems silly but I had a funny dream last night that sparked my interest. If it did happen to you, what was the orginal result?

at my first ultrasound they told me that I was having a girl...then when I went in at 5 months to get another ultrasound...they told me it was a boy...that he was just wel in dowd...then when i was 22 weeks along they confirmed again that it was a boy...they even said that the tech that told me that it was a girl should be fired because you could plainly see it was a boy...so my first ultrasound says a girl and the rest say a boy...I have had it confirmed that it's a boy though...

I would imagine that if it would be easier to mistake a boy for a girl than the other way around.

**edit**
I meant mistaking a boy for a girl.

i find it hard to mistake a boy for a girl or a girl for a boy...I mean yea you can mistake a boy for a girl if you aren't far enough along but my son is huge...I mean no joke...

from my album: Pregnancy19 weeks 3 days...forgot to post this thenadd comment

This was the second ultrasound...I had 2 done in a matter of 2-3 days...how can you not tell that he is a boy?!?!?!

I mean seriously it's huge!!! and they told me that he was a girl...even at this time notice it says "OH BOY???!!!!" The same tech that told me that it was a girl was now saying boy and was covering her ass cause she wasn't sure...

Pretty sure that's a boy!! haha yeah that's what my first son looked like. this one it look we could just see the "testees" Poor little man if his junk is not like his brothers. you know how dumb boys are and I don't need that with my boys. lol

It has never happend to me, but, I have heard of it happening to people irl....it happened to my cousin and she was super ticked off. She had 2 boys and they were "trying for a girl" and the US said it was a girl so she of course was over joyed since it was their last and then *he* was born, yep, it was a boy after all. Not that she doesnt love him so much, just that she got her hopes up.

I have only had 2 US's where gender was predicted, both times it was right (both boys). My 1/2 way US is tomorrow and I'm so happy that DH has agreed that we should *not* find out, I just want to be surprised!
