Small problem...

Ok so i wanna have the baby in Waco which is where all my family will be, but the problem is my doctor is here in Longview and when it gets closer to deliever my husband said he will drop me off in waco, but i was like that is fine but i think my doctor will want to see me like every week maybe when time gets closer, so i don't know how to work this out to where my folks can be here when i have the baby

So you don't want your doctor to deliver the baby? Can your parents come visit you in Longview around the due date?

I do, but i think i might just have the baby here in longview and they can make a trip up here or i can make a trip down there after the baby is born. My husband brought it up last night, and i didn't think of it til last night. But i think i might just have my doctor deliever the baby.

Remember, you are the one having the baby! They should come to you! It's only about a 4 hour drive for them to come to you, it will be a whole lot longer if you were to go to them. (Babies make everything longer.)

If your parents are having trouble with getting around, they will understand if you come a little bit after the baby is born. But it's best to stick with the plan and the doctor that you are comfortable with.

I stayed with my mother for a few days after the baby was born and even though she was wonderful and very helpful, I missed home too much. It is nice to get accustomed to the new life where you will actually be living.
