To shave or not to shave????

posted 20th Aug
Anyone's Dr's said anything about shaving? I am just wondering because I remember my aunt talking about it a few years back when she had her kid but I just realized my Dr. hasn't said anything about it at all. Any ideas?

I don't see what would be wrong it with?

I know a few years ago (or I've heard) that they used to shave women before labor because it was easier for them to see the babies head or something... but I think they stopped doing that. I dunno.

I always shave, it doesn't matter either way.

it used to be mandatory but now they only do it if they have to like an episiotomy but it's a personal thing now. Some woman are embarrassed for a dr to see them shaved and some are embarrassed for it not to be shaved. It's up to you and you have to do it yourself if you want it done

i do it anyway, but my dr hasn't mentioned it. I've heard it can be pretty uncomfortable after you have the baby if you don't.

Haha! I would... but... the one time that I actually did that I had ingrown hairs so bad that I hurt for like two weeks! I really wish that I reacted well to it because I would love to not worry about it for the weeks after the baby!

It used to be done... now it isn't anymore.

But yeah, even when my sister had her first son 20 years ago they would shave her.
