Flying with a 14 month old..

Our 1st wedding anniversary is on the 31st  
so we're going on vacation & flying out monday morning.
Our flight leaves at 7am, and Yesenia, our 14 month old, usually wakes up around 830, but i'm sure with all the noise in the airport, and being moved around, she's bound to wake up!
any suggestions on what I should bring for her to keep her occupied?
I'm thinking she'll be just a tad bit cranky..
I want to entertain her so she won't be screaming the entire flight!

I hope my daughter has that much hair when she's your daughter's age. lol

Congratulations on your anniversary. I'm flying to see family in November, and Megan will be 18 months then. I'm sooo nervous about it, we are going across the country and changing planes 3 times   Please let me know anything that you find to be helpful. I'll be watching this post too.

Thank you and thank you! Your little girl is so freakin' cute!! I love tha' picture with her pigtails. My daughter always pulls hers out. Ugh.. it's a pain in tha' butt b'kuz I always do like tha' same three things with it 'nd I ju want something new to do with it lol.

lol yeah when she was younger I used to just part it on one side and comb it all down. but it's gotten longer and soo curly. So I started putting it in one ponytail, and now that's it's getting a little longer and growing in more I've started doin the pigtails and doin little twisties and leaving the rest out all curly. so cute.

ohh man. we're only switching planes once. A friend of mine told me that she gave her son some tylenol.. or was it benadryl [sp]... I can't remember. But it knocked him right out and he slept the whole flight.

it was probably benadryl. I'm med-phobic though, I can't give her meds unless I KNOW she needs it. I'm hoping with our flight leaving around 6 am, she'll at least sleep through the first flight since she'll probably be up around 4. I'm hoping she'll have a favorite toy by then or something.

I'm not doin the whole drug-her-up-so-she'll-sleep thing.
Some ppl say it makes the child extra hyper, instead of sleepy.
so yeah..
I'm just going to make sure I bring lots of snacks, sippy cups & toys for her.

Yeah, I've heard a few people say it made their child hyper too. My husband's uncle did that to his 5 kids when they drove home to Michigan one year too, so there's a lot of people who don't have a problem with it. Good luck with your flight though, she's such a cutie by the way.

Ooh yeaa I used to do that too.. then I noticed that at tha' tips her hair got really curly. 'Nd it just looked like a poof ball so I was like well can't do that anymore. My best friend did twisties in here hair once but she didn't want to stay still. It looked hecka cute tho'!!
