Is it ok to squeeze?

Ok I feel kinda silly asking but lately I have had this really weird need to suck in or squeeze throughout the day. It almost feels like I cant stop it, but I dont know if it will hurt the baby, I am 32 weeks . My friend who of course has never had children nor does she work with a Dr. said it is bad to suck in and I explained to her its almost uncontrolable?? I just thought I would ask you ladies and get your advice before I look really silly calling my Dr. Thank you!!

i think you'd really only be hurting yourself. You're tightening your abdominal muscles which right now are trying to loosen up.. Try doing some excersises like belly breathing, it might help you stop sucking it in. I used to suck in my stomach all the time before i got pregnant. I stopped myself by saying I'm pregnant now i want to show it off I am going to let go everytime I realize i'm sucking it in. So if I notice I'm sucking it in I just let it go.

I pretty much always keep my abs engaged, for hope that recovery will be faster! The baby is pretty well protected in there!

I used to suck my stomach in all the time too, but sometime I catch my self but i just try to let it go.

It is really weird and like I said Im not trying to suckin to look skinny or anything silly like that I just have this urge to squeeze all the time like its going to feel good or something, lol. I just never heard that it could hurt the baby and wanted to ask  Thank you Ladies

Same here. I used to do it all the time, but I got over it because of showing off my baby bump/. LOL

I stuck my stomach in throughout my whole pregnancy and it isn't bad for the baby...Youre allowed to do sit ups when youre pregnant so you'll stomach will be tighten up during that....So it's not bad...It might hurt you a bit, but not the baby lol.

I always catch myself sucking in, then I remember~ it's okay to let it all out lol

well and see I was doing my prego safe abs until I had a nice little fall acouple weeks ago and my Dr. asked me to stop with just the abs  maybe thats why I am noticing this more now??idk

ahhh I see.....That might be why....Maybe it's not safe to stick in your stomach =-/...Idn now
