How is this possible?!

I just fed him at 930 with 5 oz of formula, and now he is acting like he is starving. How?

I upped to to 5 because I thought maybe 4 wasnt enough. I was told that formula keeps them fuller longer. But it doesnt appear to do that to him.

I read that babies are suppose to eat like 5-6 times a day. Ive already fed him 4 times.
He ate at midnight, then at 330, 6, and 930.

Can he really be hungry?

Should i give him some breastmilk?

BF babies eat more than formula fed babies. If he's hungry just feed him. Lots of babies cluster feed during a growth spurt. Maybe thats what he is doing now.

I'd try to give him more formula! My son ate 8 oz when he was like 3 weeks old! But he was a big guy!

My son is going on 4 weeks old and has been eating anywhere from 5-8 oz of formula every 4 hours. If hes acting hungry, I would feed him again. The one thing I have gotten into the habit of doing though is making smaller bottles if I dont think hes going to eat alot. So usually I will make a 3 oz bottle to start w/ and if he still seems hungry then I will make another 2 oz, that way I'm not wasting so much formula with an unfinished bottle.

Keep in mind that every baby is different. My daughter is 9 weeks old, and eats a 5oz. bottle every 3 hours. If your little one is acting like he is still hungry, feed him what he wants. If he had too much he will spit it up, or push the bottle away with his tounge. If he does spit up, than just lower it a little bit.

We currently buy our formula, I'm hoping to get on WIC soon. Our current formula is Parents Choice Gentle because we had alot of gas issues with him, and it seems to help alot.

thats the thing. he spits up almost everytime he eats . thats why i only fed him 4 oz bc i thought maybe it was too much since he spits up.

They will usually ask about income status on everyone in the house to see if you qualify. If its just your SO thats working then they will go off his income if you are living together. When I originally got it, i told them I lived alone because me and my bf together made too much. The other thing to keep in mind, is even if your so makes more than what they say on the paperwork the max is to qualify, still apply. I made more than what they said I was allowed too, but still got it-the woman that did my paperwork said they rarely turn people away unless they make alot of money. It doesnt hurt to try, worst that can happen is you get declined.
