Exactly. I know she had good intentions. She offered everytime to allow me to leave or whatever, I declined everytime. I don't know if that hurt her feelings or what. Even if I do apologize, which I know at some point I will. They will never forget this, I feel like i direspected both her and his dad, but I wasn't trying to.

I think maybe the sooner you let her know you didnt intend for it to mean you didnt want her around, the more likely she'll take it that youre being sincere. Words can easily get twisted and in this case, thats what happened. I'm sure she'll understand and in effect, take a little hint to give you a bit more breathing room in the future

Family can be annoying. And I'm assuming you just had a baby, so you are going to want to rest and have time to yourself. Thats totally normal and fine. Your husband shouldn't have said anything, but he could have made it seem 'nicer' by saying that you just wanted to relax and have some alone time.

No your not, if you don't want her to then that your decision and there is obviously gotta be a reason why....i mean if it were for no reason then yes maybe, but ....you know what i'm saying
