Jeremiah's here 08/16/08!!!

Here's my labor story....

Wednesday 08/13 - Checked at the doctor and was 1cm dialated and 25% effaced. She stripped my membranes to help things along since my due date was coming up (08/23).
Thursday 08/14 - I started losing my mucous plug and having bloody show.
Friday 08/15 - Continued to lose my plug and had some stronger BH.
Saturday 08/16 - I woke up at 8 a.m. to my panties being wet. I thought that it probably was my water, but I didn't feel a big gush or a constant leak plus I had no contractions. I ended up soaking through 3 pairs of panties before I decided that I should call my doctor. Went to the hospital around 10:30 a.m. It was my water so I was admitted, 12:45 p.m. still no contractions, they gave me a pill to progress my cervix (I still was only 1cm and long). I turned down the pitocin, that would be my last resort. 4 p.m. my contractions became regular, I had been alternating between the bouncing on a birth ball and speed walking around the hospital. Unfortunatly I was still only 1cm. 8 p.m. I started active labor. 8:30 pm I was 3cm. I labored in the tub for a 1/2 hour. 9:00 was given Nubain and was 4cm. 10:00 was given another dose of Nubain and was 6 cm. 11:00 I started to push. 11:14 p.m. my baby boy, Jeremiah David was born. 7lbs 13ozand 21" long.   Thanks ladies for letting me share my labor story!!
