Soooo tired of false labor

I am getting so frustrated with my body these days, sometimes i just want to be induced and get the whole thing over with! I wanted to give birth naturally, but i keep giving myself heart attacks every other day because of false labor. For instance, tonight, I started having contractions at about 7pm. They weren't particularly painful, but they kept getting closer and closer together until they were 5-6 minutes apart. Then they stayed like that for more than two hours. My hubby went for a walk with me for half an hour, and they started coming stronger, but not closer together. I'm still having contractions now, but they're getting further apart. This has been going on for over 5 hours now, but i don't think it's the real thing because it's just not progressing. I'm just so frustrated because this is like the third time something like this has happened!!! Anyone else have a frustrating false labor experience like this one?

Sorry No, once my contractions started they didn't stop until I gave birth, but they did get to 5 min apart then further and closer etc until they finally got stronger and closer together...

I hate to get excited AT ALL at this point, but how long did that go on before they got stronger and closer? and how many weeks were you?

The first baby can be so unpredictable. I've heard of many women who had labor start and stop numerous times before the real thing took over.

The same exact thing happened to me... like it starte late Friday night, they started out being 15 minutes apart, then 10 minutes apart, then 7 then they kept bouncing around from like 3-5 minutes, and all this crazy stuff... My fiance and I took a walk and they didnt get any better, but the got stronger, so I took a shower to see if that helped any... and in the shower, I would have swore my water was leaking, it did whatever it did twice (felt like I peed myself, but there was no color or anything to it) it was odd... so eventually. I called my dr's office and my dr told me to go to l&d just incase, so we did... and nothing. My cervix hadn't changed since my last appointment... and they said it wasn't my water leaking... so they sent me on my not so happy way home lol.

Hopefully we both have our little ones soon! And hopefully next time you think its 'false' labor... lets hop its the real deal! Good luck hun

I was 39 weeks

My first contraction was on a Tuesday night at 9, then one at 3, one at 5 and they were about every hour after that (All day Wednesday) They would go to 5 min apart for an hour or so, then before we hit the 2 hour mark they would to another 20 minutes. By Wednesday evening they didn't go more than 20 minutes apart, and by 11 at night they stayed at 5 minutes apart, we went to the hospital and I wasn't dilated enough. They had me walk, for 3 hours and finally admitted me at 4 am... It felt like FOREVER! I had him at 11:55 am on Thursday.

Yes! I hate false labor!
I've been having contractions, sometimes painful ones for hours but they don't get close enough together and then they stop.
I'm just like, Ok enough of this let's get the show on the road!
