My son had a seizure at the airport today

I was going to go to Colorado from Vegas today to see my family. My husband and I got to Vegas and everything was fine. Asher seemed a little warm but we didn't think anything of it.
My husband left me at the gate because it was just Asher and I going to Colorado.
Asher was sleeping on my chest and he twitched for a second. I thought maybe he had just woke up from a dream. We get on the airplane and Asher's eyes roll in the back of his head and his whole body is twitching and I can't get it to stop.
I tell the flight attendant that I think he's having a seizure and she puts him on the ground on his side so that he won't choke on his tongue.
At this point I am crying hysterically and I seriously felt like I was outside of my body looking at myself over my son. It was the scariest experience of my life.
This seizure lasts for 45 seconds to a minute. Afterwards Asher is just zoned out. He won't look at me or respond to me in anyway.
I start crying even more.
The paramedics get there and take Asher and me to the emergency room.
And that's where we are right now.

The doctor said it was a febrile seizure.
They took his blood and urine but they were unable to find out what triggered the fever that caused the seizure.

Now my husband and I don't know what to do... Do I still take him to Colorado with me in the morning? Or do I dump the whole trip?

I would dump the trip.........do not take the risk.

How scary! Hope everything works out. I personally would rather stay and be close to a hospital.

OMG!! so scarey! im so sorry mama. what are the chances of it happening again. if his fever goes down and he seems ok. i would go. ask the er docs though. i heard those kind of seizures from fevers are not that dangerous.

I would just ditch the trip  

I would personaly dump the trip. You can make the trip anytime. Right now, focus on Asher.

I hope the little man finds out what caused it and has NO MORE.

Glad to hear the flight attendant knew what to do and helped you out. I hope everything else is okay though.

I would ditch the trip. My neice does this and it happens to her all the time. I would try to be on the safe side and stay home with baby.

That's horrible! I would cancel the trip, your family will understand. I hope they figure out what caused it.

If it was caused by fever it's actually very normal though terrifying.

My daughter had it happen once, I gave her some medicine and she was fine.

Talk to your doctor and see if your son is fit to fly.

my son had a febrial seizure when he got sick, my doctor explained it to me like this, everyone has a certain tempature that will set there body into a seizure babies happen to be smaller so the fever or trigger is also smaller, when Brody get s a fever now I just have to make sure I break it right away and keep it down. I have only ever had that one experience. My dr said that unless it becomes something that happens often to not worry about it.

I would probably dump the trip entirely just to be safe. Ask the doctors advice before you leave the hospital, though.

did he have the fever an you didn't notice because if you let a fever get to high you can have seizure.
