You're probably exactly right. You have to be consistent. If you supplement with formula, it tricks your body into thinking that the baby doesn't need it and it will stop producing as much. When that happens you'll start producing the hormones again that start up your cycle. Women have used this for hundreds of years to space babies! It is so cool and so fascinating to me! I'm just like why don't you hear more about this stuff, when it is so natural?

Because the faux milk companies don't want you to know this. I am obsessed with eugenics and am very wary of formula.   It concerns me how our society is so unwilling to accept BF as a natural part of life. I remember watching a movie during sociology class and this woman in another country asked why in America women put their babies in "cages". Wow. I co-sleep with my baby and she still sleeps with me. I have never owned a crib, but have owned a bassinet! It's not until we start looking at our consumer society more closely is when we will find some of these answers. If you condone BF as birth control and teach that..then somehow you disrupt the pharmaceutical companies and so on and so forth...it's all about the money.

AH!! i know! It seems like women just go along with society without really looking into what they are doing to and with thier bodies... I like to know reasons for things and understand my body...because we are soooo complex and amazing.. no human can create another human.. well other than through sex or cloning... you know what i mean lol... so why don't we justlearn to understandthe human bodyrather than fight it.. its beyond our control..its in God's hands

Lol, I never thought of it that way either! It really does look like we put our babies in cages! Our society can be so backwards!
