Heartbeat at 16 weeks

When I had my 8w ultrasound the heartbeat was 172..Today at 16w by doppler it was about 125-130..Is that normal? It seems like a huge difference to me, and my sons hb never dropped below 140 even at the end of my pregnancy with him. I'm stressin. I wanna girl, too.

its normal and i dont believe those wives tales..my babysheartbeat has always been above 150 and hes a boy!!!

im sure its fine if the doctor didnt say anything. Arieanna was always 150s and this baby is between high 150's and 160's....good luck hun! I hope u get yr girl!

It gets slower the bigger they get but that should be about the avg from now on out. Mine at 12 weeks was 170 and at 16 weeks it was 140-150

My high risk Dr said anything between 110-170 is fine and the heartbeat to determine babies sex is a myth. (old wives tale) My baby girl usually is 140's.

140 is normal to me, but 125? That's low=/

Exactly....
as long as its about 110...its fine...

125-130 is just fine, their heart rates change depending on what they are doing... when i got my first doppler hearing at 13 weeks it was about 130 and now at 20 weeks its 148 and mine is a girl. 
They say 120-170 is normal.

first time i heard my girl's heartbeat at 16 weeks it was 139 :d

I think as long as it doesn't go down to like 100 or below its fine, at 16 weeks mine was way up there at 170 too, when he moves sometimes it still is but during my NST today it went down to like 135ish
