Aches and pains.. should I worry?

posted 19th Aug
Alrighty, here's one for ya.. im 24 weeks pregnant... and im having aweful pains in my legs. Sometimes its just a sharp pain like i was stabbed by a needle, other times it just aches. It moves. Makes it so I cant lay still. ALSO, I cannot lay down without one of my limbs going numb. Anyone else have this problem and know of any solutions?

Thanks

Are you lying on your side? are you drinking 8 glasses of water a day? are you using a pillow between your legs? All of these could be reasons for everything you are feeling. Its just sounds like the wonderful aches and pains of pregnancy

Laying on my side my arms go numb, I cant lay on my back or they go numb, its hard getting comfy. Pillows dont help... I drink water as much as I can... I just cant find a solution.

Oh, and theres no way to solve it. You can inly hope the baby moves, and then it just stops.

Yeah, the leg pains has been an all day thing. Yesterday he was active as hell and it didnt hurt.. but today, little kicks here and there, but nothing like today. Makes me want to cry

Laying on your back could make it worse, do you have a recliner? if you do try that.. another thing ive found, which sounds impossible but really isnt.. Lay on yourside (for me its on a love seat) and let your body incline up, I mean seriously up. pretty much to where my body is on the love seat but the rest of me is on the arm of the couch, its not comfy at first, but it seems to work after awhile. (I get severe hip and leg pain and the doc suggested that coupled with 2 tylenol ever 4-6 hours.)

I know how you feel. My knees feel like they are broken sometimes and other times my hips feel like I have a million pounds resting on them! I have tried everything- laying on my left side, pillow bewteen the legs, elevating my legs, etc. Nothing works except tylenol and time.   I've found that the pain and numbness usually go away from me after about 30-45 minutes if I switch positions. Let me know if you find anything else that works because I'd love to know.
