Kurtis Ryan Jr. is Here!!!

He arrived 3 days before his due dateonAugust 15, 2008 at 12:25AM. He was 6lbs 8oz and 18 inches long. It was a really easy labor. Thursday morning I read that you could do jumping jacks to help induce labor, so I did like 50! Well at 2:30 I was laying on the couch and I felt this trickle of water, like I was peeing on myself, well it shocked me so I jump up and called my husband and he rushed home. I layed back down to make sure it was my water that broke and like 5 mins later it did it again so I called the hospital and they told me to come in. We arrived at the hospital at 4:00 and they checked me and I was 3 centimeters dialated and it was my water that had broke. I wanted to try to labor on my own before they started anything so I had some mild contractions for 5 hours nothing that I couldn't breath through. Ihad my family there and I was talking and texting the whole time. At 9:00PM they checked me and I was still 3 so they started pitocin and then the contractionsgot a little harder. I had to start my lamaze breathing by mid-night I wanted something! but it was going to be a while because they were doing a c-section while the nursewas there she checkedme and I was an 8! and by 12:20AM I needed to push and after 5 mins of pushing he was born!!!I was so surprised how iteasy it was! So for you ladies thatthis is your 2nd you have hope that it iseasier cuz it was for me!!!

BTW - wow on the jumping jacks. I would've loved to have done those when I was that pregnant but I would've probably fallen on my ass! lol
