Divorce Laws?

Is there any rules for divorce I need to know? I know that if there are kids involved, you much stay seperated for a year, and if you don't have children, it's 6mos. BUT we've only been married for 3 months, so would we still have to wait out the year?!

I'd do google, because I think each state is different. I dont think in OK you have to be separated at all- but I could be wrong.

That's what I mean. He doesn't have a job, doesn't work..so he has no income. How would he pay child support? Isn't it income based?
Which IMO is ridiculous.

A friend of mine who is a divorce attorney said that your lawyer would have to argue that he purposely isn't working to avoid it. The court can jump in and basically make him get a job in order to support his children. That's California, though- your state may be different.

I hope so, because his family would be perfectly happy taking care of his sorry ass for the rest of his life. He's never really had a job.

So am i because i also remember a while back he was hitting her or something and ripped all her clothes to shreds but she still got back with him. 

Honestly, I don't see how that relates to this post. And any post that starts with "I'm not trying to start drama but.." usually is. This is about divorce laws, if you wanted to ask about that, why didn't you post in my other thread...the venting ones. Oh and btw, yes, we had 3sums, and I still had an awesome time. That has NOTHING to do with this topic. Oh and another thing, I was trying to work things out with my husband, that's all.

If you have only been married for 3 months you may be able to get it annulled. If you have children the child support will depend on his income, which is stupid in my opinion, it should make him get a job. But each state is different. May I ask why after only 3 months it didn't work out?

Ok whatever think what you want it doesnt really matter to me. It was just weird how a while back you were ALL about leaving him because you were tired of his shit but then got right back with him after you said yourself that he wasnt willing to change.

And i didnt post in one of your other threads because i didnt want to bring it back. But whatever if your going to be a bitch then be one doesnt really matter to me.

And as for your question in TX you can get the marriage annulled as long as you do it before you get the marriage certificate, and that usally takes about 6-8wks but you might have to go up to the courthouse and check.
