IUD Question

I got the 10 year iud put in at my 6 weekd pp appointment and my son is now 3 months 3 weeks... anyone have any expierences with this iud? what was your first real period like with this in after having a baby?

This probably doesn't apply, but. Lol.

My first period after my Mirena was a week late.

Also I did research on the paragard, and in other countries it recently has been approved for 15 years of use.

extremely heavy and painful..really bad cramps!

did you have any clots when you had your first period? i mean when i was still breast feeding they were light one day periods now that i am completely done its really heavy.. does it get better or are your periods all this heavy? if so i am getting this thing taken out

The first 6 months pp, my period [with both of mine] were really heavy and clotty.

They told me it takes three months for your body to get used to the IUD.

okay, i was a littler nervous and dont have insurance anymore... my period has never been this heavy... i know this sounds weird but i feel like i am loosing a lot of blood because its so heavy but if its just a normal period with this iud then i wont worry about it i just needed some type of advice if it didnt go away i would call the dr.. just wanted to come here first

Its normal from what ive gathered.
I've asked a lot of IUD questions, and I Even called my doctor.

Once I bled for like three weeks.
