same room nursery?

posted 18th Aug
ok so heres a question... has anyone heard of making the nursery in your bedroom... ok heres y... i dont live with the babys father. not at the time... i dont know what will happen in the future but not right now... ok so i live with my two roomates... my one roommate says that he is willing to move into the 4th bedroom downstairs if i want to turn his room into a nursery. but i am not sure if he will think that way in a few months..So has anyone ever heard of keeping the baby in my room... I have a pretty large room (the biggest in the house) but is that weird...

Nope! We used to have Chel sleep in our room until we moved into our own apartment.

It's perfectly normal.

I live in a small house, (much smaller than I'm used to!) so my son and I will be sharing my bedroom. I have a rather roomy closet, so I'll probably set up a few of his things in there, possibly his crib, even.

I find it kind of convenient for the first year, honestly. Most mothers want their babies close by anyway. Even if I did have an extra room for my boy, I'd wait a good while before I moved him into it. lol

many cultures take babies to bed with them. we have been cosleeping since we brought opal home. we are just now moving her into the crib for the first half of her night. in order to do that and still feel comfortable, we moved the crib into our bedroom yesterday. i love it. wouldn'thave it any other way.

I didnt decorate our bed room, but I do have dcorations for when we move (soon hopefully). I taped the balloons from the hospital on the walls and put a baby calender and a couple of different things up on the walls. I didnt go full out on decorations...Yet.
