Its gonna be my 3rd c section but my first was an emergency so they put me to sleep. The second s cection i told my doctor to put me to sleep he didnt want to but they cant choose for u they only tell u all the risks involved but now i have to be awake because of an ugly scar i have in my bikini line . If your put to sleep they only have 5 minutes to take the baby out so it would be imposible withe the scar i have .

With my last baby i had a c section and tubal. Trust me it goes by faster than you think i was in and out of the OR within i dunno like 40 mins. They gave me the spinal and layed me down which they had to help me cause i was numb already they brought DH in and the baby was out. The longest time was waiting for him to cry he was a preemie so he didnt cry right off the bat that was the worse. I dont mean to scare you with that you are getting close to due so thats not going to be an issue for you. By time he cried and were taking him outta the room the nurses go ok they are finshing up the tubal. Really it went by so fast plus you will be so drugged you wont relize where the time is going.

Since this is my first I don't have much advice for you sorry, but good luck! Most of the womens' stories I've readsay that they were freaked out going into it but before they knew it they were hearing their baby cry. I also asked my mom and she said they had her completely sewed up before she even realized they had startedher tubal ligation. Hope that helps!

Not at all, I felt a little sting when they numbed the area, and then I asked when they were going to do the big needle, and she said they were already doing it!! all I felt was a little pressure in my back.

NO not really it hurts more when they give an epi. Its just like a quick stick and its done and it takes effect faster than you have time to move an inch!

Thats alright, I cried for 2 hours straight before mine, I was so scared. But you know what, I would be more worried if you WEREN'T scared. It's a major surgery, and being nervous is a good thing, and it's good to get all of the information you want.

I wouldn't lie to you about how it felt, because I wouldn't want to be lied to either. It honestly is not bad at all, and to hear that baby's first breath of air, and hear that cry, it's a wonderful thing. I think you will enjoy being awake during the procedure much more than knocked out.

Yep! I just got a tingly sensation, and I couldn't move, the nurses had to lay me down.
