when to start foods?

my son is 3 months and hugs and hes hungry all the time. when should we start cerial and baby food with him? he arleady eats like 6-8 oz ever hour or 2 of breast milk ...its insane.

4 months is what my pedi told me.

Babies hit a growth spurt at three months. I didn’t start cereal with my daughter until 4 months

i started at 3 1/2 months my son was big too... i heard as long as they are heavier then 15 pounds or double there birth weight its ok to start earlier

Some say 4 mo.
Some say 6mo.

I did 4mo.

Talk to your pediatrician before changing anything... Aidan at that age was eating 6ozs every 3 hours and by 3 1/2 months was giving all the "signs" that they say let you know they are ready but we STILL waited for the dr's okay at his 4 month appointment before starting cereal

I started at 4 months,didnt like them.

Tried again at 6 months,loves them.

I just started my daughter on cereal today and she is 4 months old.

I started giving JJ cereal in his bottles a while ago on advice from my Dr and I started him on jar food like 2 weeks ago, he is going to be 4 months next week. So far we have tried Applesauce, Pears and Sweet Potatos. I give him the same food for 4 days to make sure he isn't alergic to it then we move on to another one, I think we're gonna try carrots next. lol
