im over due and only 2-3 cm. This baby is just too comfortable in there lol. I'm bring induced wednesday at midnight though  .

Sure. We have a bet going right now in my family. Everyone says I am going to go this week. Hubby says I will be overdue by two weeks and I think she is going to come on my due date. Um....I think you are going to go before me just because of the luck I have been having. All three of my friends have delivered before me and I was dilated before them. One of them was not due until Sept 3. My baby is just too comfy. Lol.

I know!! They seem to love it in there!! I am a little discouraged seeing nothing is going on and I was sure I'd be early since it was my second. My little cousin is 18, had the same due date as me, but had her little girl on the 8th!! 08-08-08 what an awesome birthday...I was hoping it would be today, the 18th since my son is the 18th of April...that would be cool and easy for all the fam to remember...but ya, you can't always get what you want when it comes to being prego!! At least I'm feeling good. What about you??

I feel my body is about to burst I am so full of baby. She has ran out of room and now all she does is squirm around and raise her knees and butt up in the air. It feels so weird and it wakes me up at night when she does it. My back hurts off and on but really nothing to complain about. But those Brazton Hicks are started to hurt some and come more during the night than the day. I guess sleep is not for me anymore. I'm glad you're feeling good. What's even better is it is almost over! Lol.

Very true...see if I'm feeling so good, I'll probably be the one who's 2 weeks late!!! Or, maybe last time was so bad this feels like a piece of cake!! I've gained about half of what I gained last time, so I'm sure that helps out a BUNCH! Ya I get crampy and my back hurts sometimes, but I feel like I've always been like that prego or not!!!!!!! I'm just lucky I guess.

Oh no. This is my frist I was just agreeing with you. My sister-in-law was the same. Her first sucked big time. She was in labor for seventeen hours because my nephew would not drop. He stayed under her ribs and he was sideways. Ouch. Her second was not too bad she had him in about six hours and then her last he came in four. My bestfriend was the same. Her first pregnancy was horrible. She actually made me not want to have kids. But her last one was smooth sailing. Yeah we decided on Shaunna Michelle.

why is it when your have to be induced they do it at midnight or last at night . and not in the after noon . ???

Oh I meant good luck to you too!   But that is nice to hear about your sister...and duh...you picked Shaunna...it's totally your name on here!! Sorry, I have prego brain...but I was thinking of using Michelle as a 2nd middle name too...I like to have 2 middle names for my kids I know it may sound silly...but I like it!

My experience is you go in evening time and they put some kind of tablet in you (sorry forgot the name) to soften your cervix and get it ready, then in the morning they start the pitocin. I was lucky, in the morning my water broke by itself, but they usually have to break your water soon after the start of pitocin if I'm not mistaken.

My doc said it's usually timed like that for two reasons.

1. Usually first time mom's being induced can take several hours.
(I had a friend who was to be induced, they hooked her up to the oxytocin, and told her to go to sleep, they'd check her in the morning.)

2. They want to make sure your tummy is as empty as possible, in case it ends in c-section, they need your tummy to be empty.
