Spastic baby?
posted 18th Aug
My baby is VERY active, this I know. I get "normal" kicks and movements alot but sometimes I feel like he's totally spazzing out! Seizure-like motions....I don't remember this with my first. The movement is so rapid and crazy it just freaks me out that he's having seizure's or something?! Anyone else wonder if there baby is "normal" because of the spastic motions?

Mine does it too!!! He's fine, and still in there...

someone told me its because they are developing their nervous system our something like that.

It's normal. I heard it has something to do with neurological development.

Mine does the same. It feels like he's knocking on my stomach wall saying "knock knock I'm ready to come out". It feels like twitching movements, but I figured it's all normal. He can knock all he wants, I want the interaction.

I posted a topic like this when I was pregnant, I felt that too. and never felt it with my first 2. But now that she is born, sometimes her leg shakes really fast and I think that's what she was doing in the womb

could it be the hiccups? The first time my daughter got them I thought she was having a seizure and called my doc. He told me he had never heard of babies in utero seizing, so i felt much better. So far this pregnacy it has only happen once, but it was pretty often(and annoying) with my first.

That happens to me too. I was kind of scared the first time it happened, but now I enjoy it

Phew....seems like my baby is not the only one!!
I know what hiccups feel like, and this is not hiccups =) It's very random and doesn't last as long as the hiccups. Plus, it's just to "violent" and spazzy to be hiccups.... Ok good. Well, I sure love to feel him moving in there, but I hope he calms down when he's out!! He's SO active I wonder if he ever really sleeps. Or maybe he does sleep and just twitches in his sleep like his daddy! Ha ha ha...
