I'd believe him if he answered you right away with out any hesitation. No use in causing problems if he really is telling the truth.

Well I'm really glad to hear that! But I don't think you should feel stupid. It did seem really suspicious! But your his wife and if you believe him, then I'm so glad it worked out!!
