.gahh i finally did it!.

I finally pack our hospital bag, but i think i over packed, i packed the tolietries and all the little things, but i feel as though i over packed because, umm i cant even get kingston shit in the damn bag. so what i guess im asking is this, what all did you pack as far as your stay in the hospital, cause im thinkin i did go a tad bit overboard. lol, and i know i should be like, well better to be over prepared than under, but im not taking 50 thousand bags to the damn hospital, lol

I packed to much - so here's what I actually used!

Sweats and a tshirt
Socks and underwear and a clean bra
Camera
Wallet
Change for the vending machine
Snacks and Juice/bottled water
Cell phone
Coming home outfit for baby
small notepad and a pen

Never used the robe/slippers or anything else they said to pack, I spent the whole time in the hospital robe. And I didn't use my pads that I had brought because I used the big ones they had for when I went home.

Only thing I wish I would have brought was ear plugs or some form of headphones and music to block out the background noise.

ETA : and a brush, shampoo and body wash and hair elastics, and tooth brush and paste

I went to walmart and bought some granny panties to fit the size HUGE always overnight pads I got lol

damn i wont even specify what i packed just needless to say i will be taking out half the bag, lol. kingston has his outfit home, and i packed diapers, a couple of burp clothes for him, as well as his wipes, a couple of caps, mits, socks and his recieving blanket. mom on the other hand... yeah didnt pack so light

yeah i went shopoping for those damn pads, i was in the pad aisle for like 30 minutes, i went a step above overnight protection and got maxium protection lol

I wouldnt take too much clothes for you to wear outtta the hopital and some comfy gowns if you choose to wear your own clthoes after. And take a robe. That is a must! And for the baby you just need a coming home outfit socks mittens you dont really need diapers or wipes or anything cause they will have all of that. And the things you need for a shower and thats pretty much it oh make sure you have phone chargers and camera batteries if you take a digital camera!

I opened one up and those things are one step down from a diaper lol you could float down a river with it.

yeah i was just telling one of my coworkers that the one thing im bound to forget is the damn phone charger, and watch in the midst of labor my phone will be on one bar lol and will be im dire need for a charge lol

lol, i was like, damn, dude wtf wont they just be real and stop beating around the bush, they tellin my ass to wear a freakin diaper! lol, i was like maybe i should get some depends just in case, lol, might as well with them damn big ass flotation devices they call pads! lol

the hospital will have a lot of what you might need if you forget, even thought it's not the best of the best, but who cares. i used all the hospital stuff the whole time i was there. i am lame, i stayed in my gown, wore my net panties they gave me, used their pads, we used the diapers and wipesthey gave us, the shampoo they gave me, i even used the toothbrush they gave me haha   my hospital had a waiting room with a frudge of food so daddy could eat, and i had food provided to me, and if i wanted anythign else my family would go get it  we didnt really care about a comign home outfit, since we had no one to go home to, so we just had her nice dress for her pics. and some onesies. she kept getting the baby mits off, and everything else was too big for her to wear, so it was a waste of space. everything i packed was useless basically haha. if you plan on bfing ake some lanolin just in case they dont have any. and we loved the hat the hospital had, so lylian wore that, plus al the hats we had were also too big for her.

My boyfriend thought that one through for me. I'm horrible at remembering to charge my phone to begin with, so he bought a spare one to throw in my hospital bag, so I wouldn't have to think about it while rushing off to the hospital. He's a smarty. We did the same with toiletries. It's not like you won't end up using it anyway.

Yeah well its better when you are bieng induced lol so you can get stuff and pack it but thats unliikly to happen so yeah someone maybe making trips back home. I sent my DH back alot of times when my baby was born plus i need a comforter cause i just get so cold in the hospital and no matter how many of those paper thin blanket they put on me i will still freeze! We only live 5 mins away from the hosptail so it wasnt too bad. OH and if dad is going to stay with you i would pack some clothes and stuff for him too i had so much stuff i had to bring one of those big rolly suicases!
