sad,, but those moms give a bad rep for all the other young moms.

Adoption over abortion. MySIL has been trying to have a child for years!!!! She is no considering adoption. 35% would make it easier on her.

What about the 100's of 1000's of childrenalready waiting to be adopted?

Most parents want a baby.. she doesnt care too much. She doesnt want to adopt a teenager (which i understand) but shes ok with adpoting any age. she just wants a child.

Well, she should be good then. As far as wanting a baby people should think about the children they are over looking before saying so many more children should be thrown into the system.

I think anyone who does put their child up for adoption because they know that baby will have a better life with a mom and dad are doing one of th emost unselfish things anyone can ever do. I love the part in Juno where after she gives birth her and her boyfriend sit and cry together but still kept the decision to give the baby a life.

True but if we ask people who grow up in foster care if they would rather be dead, I am sure most of them will say no.

I LOVE that movie!! The best part of the whole movie is after she has the baby and her dad tells her "you will be back here one day." I cried my BF just grabbed my hand.
I actually rented it for my 14 year old daughter because to me it was a more realistic showing of what a teenage girl goes thru. Especially since she was the one having to deal with everything and the boys life didn't change.

True. However that leads into a whole other arguement. I am pretty sure we have been through that one too.

Also just becuase 30% more babies are put up for adoption does not mean it will be any easier to find a baby to adopt in the US. If it did what would happen to all of the other children in the fostercare system when so many more babies become avalible?

I love your new avi! I almost did not recognize you.

ETA: I worded that wrong. It might be easier to find a baby to adpot but it wont be any easier to actually adopt nor will it be any cheaper. From what I understand the US has a lot of red tape to go through.

Yeah I agree, it is hard and sometimes a long process to adopt, so while it takes a while, these kids aren't getting any younger! Makes me wish I could take them all home and hug them
