Quoting Dev22:“ I think that most teens put their own self interest above that of their child, which is why I think ... [snip!] ... never give it up, when it woudl have most certainly been in the best interest of the child to have been given up for adoption.”
Quoting Mrs. C:“ I believe they are thinking the 30% that abort should go to the other side and make it 35% giving their children up for adoption.”
Quoting Mommy_Carmen:“ Adoption over abortion. MySIL has been trying to have a child for years!!!! She is no considering adoption. 35% would make it easier on her.”
Quoting Mrs. C:“ What about the 100's of 1000's of childrenalready waiting to be adopted?”
Quoting Mommy_Carmen:“ Most parents want a baby.. she doesnt care too much. She doesnt want to adopt a teenager (which i understand) but shes ok with adpoting any age. she just wants a child.”
Quoting Mrs. C:“ Well, she should be good then. As far as wanting a baby people should think about the children they are over looking before saying so many more children should be thrown into the system.”
Quoting mama3:“ I think anyone who does put their child up for adoption because they know that baby will have a better ... [snip!] ... where after she gives birth her and her boyfriend sit and cry together but still kept the decision to give the baby a life.”
Quoting mama3:“ True but if we ask people who grow up in foster care if they would rather be dead, I am sure most of them will say no.”
Quoting Tattooed~Mommy:“ That's true- At least when I was 16 the abortion option was pushed on me the most. That's why I did ... [snip!] ... as many high-schoolers aren't. Now I am ready though (13 years later!) and I'm confident that I can be a good mother. ”
Quoting Tracy Ann:“ I LOVE that movie!! The best part of the whole movie is after she has the baby and her dad tells her ... [snip!] ... what a teenage girl goes thru. Especially since she was the one having to deal with everything and the boys life didn't change.”
Quoting Mrs. C:“ True. However that leads into a whole other arguement. I am pretty sure we have been through that ... [snip!] ... be any easier to actually adopt nor will it be any cheaper. From what I understand the US has a lot of red tape to go through.”
i am a teen who is going to be a mother in a couple of months && although the road may be rough for a while i know that my child && i will make it through. i will never think of giving him up instead i will work my ass off to make sure he has the best i can give.
