what could it hurt?

soo, at the risk of sounding like a complete idiot, I was just wondering why you have to wait six weeks PP to have sex? My husband leaves for iraq on the 23rd and our daughter was born on the 9th of this month... making her 2 weeks old when he leaves. It would just be nice to have sex one more time before i dont get any for 7-8 months. I mean, my stiches are healed already and i feel fine "down there" so i was just wondering what could happen...?

I had sex 4 weeks pp with my first son, it did hurt a little but I was fine afterwards. I say if you feel ready give it a try!

i think the main reason is to avoid risking infection if you aren't 100% healed yet... and the fact that i imagine it would HURT like the dickens!

If you take it slow you'll be all right. Everyone heals different but if you feel "normal" than it could be alright.
I didn't find sex enjoyable after my daughter until like 6 months later. Not painful but just not real want for sex.

Ohhh, just the thought of sex right now makes my legs tighten together (not because it hurts down there, but because I'm scared)but that could be because its only been eleven days since I had my little one. I don't think I'll wait 6 weeks though but I just want to pro-long it a little so I know I'm definatley O.K!

I think they six week thing is to make sure you're healed and to prevent infection. But considering your circumstances, if you wanna try it, go for it! If you're willing to put up with the consequences!!

my doctor told me to wait until the 4 week mark, which was yesterday.. we waited it out and finally did it yesterday and it didn't hurt at all! 2 weeks might be a little early since you're probably still bleeding heavily meaning you're not healed yet, but under your circumstances i'd probably do the same thing, just be careful with those stitches! (i didn't have any so i don't know but it sounds scary to me)
