Went into pre-term labor last night

It was horrible. I went immediately to the hospital because I was having the worst contractions and low and behold they tell me little Mr. Ayden is trying to come visit the world. I was scared out of my mind. I am 23w 3d pregnant so I was worried out of my mind, they ended up hooking me up to the IV and giving me fluids, and then a shot to stop the contractions, and now I am on a pill I have to take every 6 hours.   It sucks so bad. Anyone else go through this?

Are you on bedrest? Are you still in the hospital?

My bestfriend had her baby at 6 months and ended up spending about a year in the hospital and had 3 operations................. He had a breathing tube in his throat for two years........... I'm not trying to scare you here!

He is now the most annoying most active little brat on the earth!! And the most adorable!

Even if the baby is premature, his chances of living are pretty high now a days. Just hang in there and we will be praying for you!

I went into preterm labor at 25 weeks. I was in the hosptial for a week. I was put on strict bedrest and now I'm 39 weeks! So don't be scared. I was terrified when I was going through all of it. I thought I would never make it to full term. But there's hope for sure!

I had preterm labor three time while I was pregnant they had to give me brethine and steriods.

Yeah they gave me two shots of Brethine.
and then sent me home on Nifedipine 20 MG- I think that is the generic...

Gosh, I am so sorry you're going through this! Hang in there and follow your doctor's orders! I had a friend who went into pre-term labor with her son, but they were able to stop it and he ended up coming on time in the end.

Well, they put me on bed rest until my next docs appt. which is sept.8th.

But I hope not much longer than that.

Just make sureyou follow thier orders even though I know it must suck. I'm sure your lil guy will be just fine, just take it easy and take this time for some r&r. I'll keep you in my prayers
