Quoting jnazmom:“ I like that you can push out the air, throw away the liners and don't have the parts of the Vent Airs.”
That's what I dont understand you push out all the air through the nipple and feed baby, but do you still need to push out the air when feeding baby??   Sorry I'm really just confused with the drop ins...

Quoting *Aidan's Adoring Mommy*:“ lol I thought that was a great feature too... until it exploded all over Aidan, me, and the bed  lol... ... [snip!] ... plus I discovered the lids leaked EVERYWHERE when I tried to take them places in my Avent thermal bag... made a big ol' mess...”
Yea, that happened to me also... I tried for the first time pushing all the air out of it and all the formula exploded everywhere on our new couch! boy was hubby pisssssed off at me

My daughter is now formula/bottle broke (since 11 1/2 months) but we used..

Playtex Ventaire Standard-she sucked the nipple flat constantly..and a stage 2 nipple was too fast.

Playtex Ventaire Wide-PERFECT !! No issues at all.. We used stage 1 nipples from day 1 to the last day of sucking on a bottle.

Dr. Browns-The nipples leaked, if you didn't hold them right she couldn't get anything out.. Just didn't work out for us..

So all in all.. if/when I have another baby I'm going to use Playtex Ventaire's again unless that baby doesn't like them

I use the playtex drop in thru the day, but at night dr. browns. Only because she has a touch of reflux and I have to add about a tsp. rice cereal to her bottles and those are all wr could find that would allow it to go thru.

I use and love the Drop Ins!! All you gotta wash is the nipple. Very easy when out and about and traveling, you can also control the air intake which is great. Riley never spits up or gets gassy!

I love my drop in's! Few tips though:
- only boil/sterilize the rings and stuff that one time
- hand wash - the heat from the dishwasher changes the rings/bottles over time, and then they do leak or not fit properly
- I only have ever used the slow flow (he's 11months and going to a cup now) because I found the medium and tri flow ones tended to drip. As long as the slow flow ones were in good shapeand not in need of replacement, they didn't drip
- use the actually preformed drop ins (the walmartones are cheaper and workjust as well)instead of the flat envelope type ones that come on a roll - they tend to tear open if you push on them too much. Those ones are great though for traveling! I preportion them with as much powder as I need, fold them up and put them in a zip lock and they are ready for when I need them.
- follow the instructions on the liners, and DO NOT heat the liquids in the liner, I've always used room temp water so that was never a problem for me. If you are going to warm it in the liner, make sure you are using the pre formed ones and not the envelope style ones

Hope that helps!

i made the nipples a lil bigger with a knife so the cereal would go thru the drop ins. my lil one used to use avent but now that shes teething she likes the softer nipple on the drop ins
